On 05/20/24 Clinton Police arrested Carlie M. Harding 23, Clinton for Driving Under the Influence and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a B.A.C. greater than .08. Harding was transported to the DeWitt County Jail where she was processed. 

On 05/20/24 Clinton Police took into custody a 13 year old juvenile for Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer. The Juvenile was released to their parent pending formal charges in court.

On 05/20/24 Clinton Police arrested Brian M. Peavler 50, Clinton on a DeWitt County Warrant. Peavler was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

Marissa Barry, 30, Beason, was issued a Citation for Failure to Reduce Speed Accident.  Barry was released with No Court Appearance Required.

Chris Barambona, 23, Decatur, was issued a Citation for Speeding (78 mph in a 55 mph zone).  Barambona was released with No Court Appearance Required.

William Austin, 54, Chesterfield, was issued a Citation for Speeding (75 mph in a 55 mph zone).  Austin was released with No Court Appearance Required.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at 20:17 on 5/7/24 revealed that Marissa Barry, 30, Beason and Cameron Richardson, 22, Decatur were each traveling south on US-51 just north of Bucks Road, with Richardson ahead of Barry and in the left lane and Barry in the right lane.  Both units were traveling at the posted speed limit.  The front passenger’s side tire of Richardson’s vehicle went flat.  Richardson activated his turn signal and entered the right lane before activating his hazards and attempting to pull onto the shoulder of the road.  Barry was attempting to change the station on her radio and collided with Richardson causing disabling damage to the rear of Richardson’s car and the front of Barry’s car.  Gary’s Towing towed both units to 602 E. Van Buren St., Clinton.  Richardson was issued Citations for Operating Uninsured Vehicle and No Valid Registration.  Richardson was released with a Required Court Date.

Fernando Leon, 73, Jalisco, MX, was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear.  Leon posted the necessary bond and was released with a Required Court Date.

Carol Arteman, 52, Wapella, was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery.  Artman was released with a Required Court Date.

Michael Hendriex, 50, Maroa, was arrested on an in-state warrant.  Hendriex posted the necessary bond and was released.

On 05/13/24 Clinton Police arrested Jari Arteaea-Troelez 31, Clinton for Domestic Battery. Arteaea-Troelez was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

On 05/13/24 Clinton Police arrested Kadarius D. Sneed 29, Clinton for Aggravated Battery and Criminal Trespass to Property. Sneed was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.
