On top of the recent launch of the Block-by-Block program in Clinton, the City is offering another way to aid in keeping your property beautiful. 

At the Tuesday Night Clinton City Council Meeting, City Administrator Tony Harris shared a project called the TIF District IV Residential Exterior Improvement Program. This will provide one-time grants to residential property owners within the downtown TIF district, and Harris believes it is just the start, as they hope to implement this program with the upcoming TIF District V. 

Harris feels that this program goes hand in hand with the Block-by-Block program that has recently been rolled out in Clinton. Some items that would be eligible for reimbursement include things like siding and window repairs, landscaping, or driveway repairs. 

The City currently has around $50,000 budgeted for the program, which Harris expects will cover a grant for 10 different homes. He noted that reimbursement covers 75% of approved costs up to $5,000. 

Also at the meeting, Mayor Helen Michelassi highlighted that a handful of people have stepped up to replace the seat of the late Tom Edmunds on the City Council. Anyone still interested in that must reach out to City Clerk Kamren Wilford by the end of the day today.
