Kelly Ginger, 55, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (80 mph in a 55 mph zone).  Ginger was released with No Court Appearance Required.

Kyren Buggar, 21, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (74 mph in a 45 mph zone).  Buggar was released with a Required Court Appearance.

Trent Bree, 31, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (78 mph in a 55 mph zone).  Bree was released with No Court Appearance Required.

Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 0736 on 3/4/24 revealed that Crystal Roy, 36, Wapella was stopped at a stoplight in the southbound lane at the intersection fo US-51 south and IL-10.  Michael Curry, 53, Abingdon, was stopped behind Roy on US-51 south.  While Roy and Curry were stopped at the stop light, Barry Kelly, 44, Decatur, approached the intersection and rear-ended Curry which caused Curry to rear-end Roy.  Kelly fled the scene and headed south on US-51.  A traffic stop was conducted on Kelly by Maroa Police Officer Fitzgerald at US-51 and Wood Street in Maroa, IL.  Deputy Massey arrived at the traffic stop and had CENCOM run Barry Kelly through Leads.  Cencom advised that Kelly’s driver’s license was revoked.  Deputy Massey placed Kelly under arrest for Driving While License Revoked.  Deputy Massey transported Kelly to the DeWitt County Jail, where he was booked, issued citations, and released with an NTA.  Kelly’s vehicle sustained minor damage to the front tow hook, bumper, and roof of the vehicle.  Curry sustained damage to the front grill, rear passenger side bumper, and trunk of the vehicle.  Roy sustained minor damage to the rear of the vehicle.  No Airbags were deployed.  All units were driven from the scene.  Kelly was arrested and charged with Driving While Driver’s License, Permit, or Privilege to Operate Motor Vehicle is Suspended or Revoked and Failure to Remain at the Scene of a Vehicle Damage Accident.  Kelly was issued Citations for Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident, Fleeing Scene of Property Damage Accident, and Driving while License Revoked.  Kelly was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Sarah Zook 39, Clinton Operating Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Notice to Appear issued.

On 03/08/24 Clinton Police arrested Arthur S. Pride 62, Clinton for Criminal Trespass to Residence. Pride was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

On 03/09/24 Clinton Police arrested Beverly K. Brough 30, Clinton and Jonathon A. Lewandowski 33 Dewitt for Domestic Battery. Both subjects were transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

On 03/01/24 Clinton Police arrested Melissa A. Jolley 49, Champaign for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence with a B.A.C. greater than .08 and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Jolley was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections.

On 03/02/24 Clinton Police arrested Teresa G. Oakley 63, Clinton for Theft. Oakley was transported to the DeWitt County Jail and released to Corrections pending processing.
