Stormwater Quality Open House - March 22

Municipal staff and engineers from several Macon County towns will be available at the Decatur
Public Library March 22nd to assist citizens with implementing stormwater management practices
at their homes and businesses.
Hosted by the Macon Counmty MS4 Work Group, a coalition of the City of Decatur, Village of Mt.
Zion, Village of Forsyth, Macon County, and the Macon County Soil & Water Conservation District,
residents will learn how rain gardens, rain barrels, and other practices can benefit the water
quality of their town and county. Installation methods and tips will also be available.
The open house will take place in the Staley Room at the Decatur Public Library, 130 N. Franklin St.,

Two $1500 scholorships will be offered by the University Women of Chirstian County. Scholarships offered to female residents of Christian County who have completed on year of college work. Deadline for application is April 1, 2017. Applications may be obtained from the TAylorville Public Library, Taylorville office of Lincoln Land Community College and the Greater TAylorville Chamber of Commerce.
